Job Title: Dryer Offbearer

SUMMARY: 

The Dryer Offbearer is responsible for assisting the Dryer Operator with operation of the dryer machine that dries the veneer and to ensure the veneer is stacked properly coming off the conveyor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

·         Receiving and guiding each sheet of veneer from the dryer, off the conveyor belts and into bundles of 23 or 32 sheets

• Assisting with restacks when necessary
• Other duties may be assigned.

·         EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months industrial experience or equivalent combination of education and working experience.

• LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers.

• REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
