WANTED: TRAILER ASSEMBLER

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:
  • Performs multiple tasks using a variety of hand-held pneumatic tools and manufacturing equipment.
  • Builds component assemblies.
  • Installs and assembles semi-trailers on a production line.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operates various hand held pneumatic and electric power tools and other machinery including drills, drivers (screws and other fasteners), riveters (pistol grip, pop riveters, mashers and squeezers), impact wrenches, nut-runners, saws and grinders.
  • Works with various building materials including steel, aluminum, wood, fiberglass, composites, small fasteners and fittings, adhesives and oil-based products.
  • Supplies area with these materials using an overhead crane, forklift, hand / powered carts or carrying materials by hand. 
  • Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Observes all safety and security procedures.
  • Performs other routine duties as necessary.
  • Use air-powered and electric hand tools including drill, circular saw, grinder, rivet gun, impact  wrench, throughout the shift to fabricate, fasten, and install components.
  • Set-up materials for fabrication. Wood sheets, steel and aluminum parts
  • Use of manual hand tools including hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, hole alignment tools, etc.
  • Operate equipment such as rivet squeezing machines, hoists, carts, presses, and movers

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and other measuring tools.
  • Ability to work with hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations following a supervisor's instruction
  • Aptitude to learn and retain new information
  • Ability to follow instructions, given either verbally or in writing
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Physical Qualifications
  • Ability to stand and move about on concrete 8-12 hours a day
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (50 pounds) multiple times daily in an 8 to 12 hour shift
  • Ability to maneuver large parts and assemblies (up to 180 pounds) by pushing, pulling and flipping them into place

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Temp-to-hire position
  • Full time, non-exempt
  • Daylight shift is 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Thursday. Overtime may be required on Fridays
  • Overnight shift is 7:00 pm to 5:30 am Monday thru Thursday. Overtime may be required on Fridays
  • Starting rate is $10.65 / hr. Overtime is paid at time and one half for any time worked over 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and maintaining setup sheet accuracy, organizing tools and preparing tools and machinery for set-up,

Qualifications:

WANTED: CNC Machinist


Summary:  
CNC Machinist specializing in fabrications from stainless and other formable metals and alloys used in aerospace, medical, pharmaceutical, food processing and defense. This is a second shift long-term position working full-time on a 4-day work week.

 Responsibilities:
·         Working from blueprints, specifications and/or instructions to rough, machine and finish parts to close tolerances;
·         Setup and operate CNC (lathes and mills) vertical and /or horizontal machining centers to include review of the CNC program and blueprints,
·         Verifying speeds and feeds for materials and tooling and operating machines to produce quality parts in an efficient manner;
·         Create and edit simple programs at the machine, maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed and standard safety regulations.
·         Individual must be able to finish machine parts and castings of various alloys and use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers and dial indicators to achieve and maintain close tolerances.

Qualifications:
·         Must be able to attach fixtures and tools according to setup sheet
·         Read and interpret complicated drawings
·         Thorough knowledge of CNC equipment, controls and language.
·         CNC programming and multi-axis machine operating experience beneficial but not required.
·         HS Diploma/GED

Wanted: Slicer Operator


Job Title: Slicer Operator


SUMMARY: 
The Slicer Opreator is responsible for the operation of the slicing machine that cuts the logs into sheets of veneer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES

·         Loads ½ and ¼ logs onto the slicing machine using a hoist and by hand carrying

·         Straightening and adjusting veneer as it’s sliced and passed through to the dryer

·         Making necessary adjustments to the machinery, equipment and computer to allow efficient and high quality production

·         Operating a chain saw to cut out knots in log

·         Checking for defects while inspecting the veneer to prevent production errors

·         Other duties as assigned.

Wanted: Dryer Operator


Job Title: Dryer Operator


SUMMARY: 
The Dryer Operator is responsible for the operation of the dryer machine that dries the veneer and to ensure the veneer is stacked properly coming off the conveyor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

·         Receiving and guiding each sheet of veneer from the dryer, off the conveyor belts and into bundles of 23 or 32 sheets

·         Operation of the control box to position bars and pallets

·         Use of a moisture gauge to measure moisture in veneer intermittently for each half log

·         Entering data into the computer

·         Print tags with designated log number and measurements

·         Other duties may be assigned
